THE KWALE DISTRICT EYE CENTRE  -  Situated at 18km from Diani on the road to Mombasa. A charitable organization which provides eye care for the poor and needy. THE KWALE DISTRICT EYE CENTRE CHARITY SHOP - Situated in Diani at the Diani Shopping Centre.  Sells new and second hand items.  All proceeds go to the “Poor Patient Fund”.  Moreover, you can donate unwanted clothes, bric-a-brac etc.
 
THE COLOBUS TRUST - A charitable organization situated in Diani and the only conservation group in this area. This is a primate rescue and rehabilitation centre. Come do an echo tour and see the interesting work done here. Contact : 0711 479453.  Minimum donation of Shs. 500/- per person.
 
DIANI CHILDREN’S VILLAGE  -  Situated in Diani, this children’s orphanage is a model of how a local orphanage should be run.  The children live with a live-in mama, just like a normal home, are sent to school and are taught skills such as poultry and thus sell chickens and eggs, and they make furniture.  Well worth a visit. MAMA LORENZA’S VOCATIONAL CENTRE FOR NEEDY GIRLS  - Situated 3km south of Ukunda.  The girls are trained in a two year program in skills such a dressmaking, hairdressing, beauty therapy, computer skills and business skills.  Visit their little shop and buy a hand made bag, beaded jewelry, etc., or style your hair in original African braids design. Proceeds from the shop and hair saloon go towards the running of this project. Contact 0722 603227
 
SOKO - Situated in Ukunda.  SOKO is an ethical and environmentally aware clothing manufacturing workshop. SOKO’s aim is to create sustainable, fair employment and offer training and skills to some of Kenya’s poorest people. SOKO manufacturers women's wear clothing for fashion retailers and brands around the world.  Donations welcome. website: www.soko-kenya.com contact: info@soko-kenya.com or phone 0715 881851.

KAYA KINONDO SACRED FOREST -  Kinondo is located a few kilometres South of  Diani Beach. This magnificent forest is presently a living museum of people's traditional culture. It bears the marks of prolonged human use and settlement in the distant past! Today, the forest is used as sacred place for the local Digo people. Its also gazetted by the government as a national monument and registered by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. You can now visit the sacred groove through an Eco tourism project run by the community. Help support an Eco tourism project and a community based organization! Opening hours : 8.00 am to 4.30 pm daily.
